Expert tree and landscape advice to help people live in balance with the green life around them.

Our Vision

Provide thorough inspections, honest answers, smart planning and practical recommendations so our clients can make good decisions when caring for the trees and plants around them.

Enjoying, maintaining, and understanding trees and landscaping often requires expert advice on questions such as:

What's wrong with my tree? Is it safe? Is it healthy?

During a property consulting visit  the homeowner/property manager can ask questions and discuss tree and landscape related issues with our ASCA registered consulting arborist. These visits include a site visit, inspection, verbal discussion and conclude with a brief written summary of the meeting along with any recommendations of what can and/or should be done next. If the tree has died, tree forensics can help determine the cause and if it could have been prevented.

What tree work can you do near the shoreline in New Hampshire? What if I think a tree is dangerous or it blocks my view?

The New Hampshire Shoreland Water Quality Protection Act was designed to preserve the benefits the waterbodies provide, they are the guidelines for waterfront property owners to follow. While tree pruning and removals are allowed, there are limits for what kind of work can be done and how many trees and plants need to remain. No tree can be removed from segment at or below the minimum points unless formally assessed to be a hazard by an arborist. Trees can be pruned as long as the health of the tree is not endangered.

I am planning a large project near an important tree(s), how do you tell if the work will wound the tree? What can we do to reduce the impact and save the tree?

Projects can have surprising impact on trees, great attention is paid to the trunk and the branches while the soil and roots are often ignored. Having an arborist involved at the beginning can prevent damage and loss, a tree management plan can be prepared to guide the homeowner, property manager and/or contractor through the project.  A tree preservation plan can be included to protect important trees, preparations can be made to prevent negative impacts and ensure quick recovery.

My neighbor's tree looks dangerous, can't I just have it removed?

Removal of a tree without permission is illegal, in New Hampshire it is called Timber Trespass, it can cost up to 10 times the market value of the tree. A consulting arborist can involved to provide the tree and plant appraisal, the cost to replace the value of a plant. To avoid the cost of replacement and address hazards a tree risk assessment  should be performed on the tree, the tree can be evaluated and the risk can be measured to provide the best course of action.
We offer a wide variety of tree and landscaping consulting services, our visits are structured to meet the needs of the homeowner. The cost for the services is based upon the complexity of the assignment and the time it takes to collect and present the results. Our goal is to provide expert advice and professional answers to your questions, help solve your property challenges and complete your project.
